The Astros try to even up their series with the Cubs tonight.  Brett Myers will be on the mound facing rookie James Russell.  Myers has pitched well so far this season, giving up just three earned runs in his first two starts. He doesn’t have any wins to show for his efforts yet.

The Cubs will send former Texas Longhorn James Russell to the mound.  Russell is making his first major league start after spending last year pitching out of the bullpen.  Chicago pulled the 25-year-old southpaw out of the bullpen to take Andrew Cashner’s spot in the rotation.  Cashner left his first start of the season with a sore shoulder.
