Every year, a different NFL player appears on the cover of Madden.
Texans receiver Andre Johnson’s stock continues to rise and so does his popularity. The five-time Pro Bowler appears in ads as well as television commericals, but now he’s a candidate to appear on the cover of a popular, yet cursed, video game.
Johnson is among 16 NFL players whose names still remain on the bracket called EA Sports Madden 12 Cover Vote on Sports Nation.
He’s a six seed, who defeated 11-seed Titans running back Chris Johnson last week.
Now, he’s facing Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is the second round.
Whether or not you’d like to see AJ ad to resume of NFL popularity, consider the stigma that goes along with being on the Madden cover.
According to DigitalTrends.com: Of the 14 players to be featured on the cover of the Madden video games, all 14 have suffered disappointing seasons, and most have been seriously injured.
The winner will be announced in April.
