As a Texans fan, there is no way I sacrifice a 1st rnd pick next year (a year in which we may not have football and thus would have the 11th pick again) for a guy who may or may not pan out. I would trade a 2nd and 4th this year but even that is stretching it. Plus in this mock, Prince Amukamara is available when the Texans pick. He plays a position of need as well and if free agency hasnt started, he may very well be the pick.

Von Miller also said his favorite team growing up was the Cowboys and that he has been trying to get their attention in workouts, etc. So this si stupid.

And this is why you are a radio talk show host and not a an NFL GM. Pathetic is the nicest word I can come up with to describe yor attempt at mock drafting.

I would not trade away a 1st rounder. That is to steep a price, plus there are other quality players available. I say NO WAY.

Rich Lord this is exactly what we need. We will address this extreme position of need for our new 3-4 and sign a proven vet for our secondary via free agency. We will then move Glover Quinn to free safety. We will draft a SS in the later rounds to compete with Troy Nolan for the spot. Fellow Texans fans if the lockout is lifted on April 6(the date of the court hearing) look for us to deal Steve Slaton and Amobi Okoye and try to savor next years first round pick. The attitude Von Miller has towards the game is uncanny. He has the mentality of a Hall of Famer and the physical tools to become just that. He’s already stated that he’d love to play for us so this would give him an added boost staying close to home! A true blue collar athelete. We need to be aggressive this year. We are a team on the cusp and are in position to make such a move to bring us over the hill. LB coach Reggie Herring will undoubtabely mold him into a premier player. Our front seven would instantly become one of the most feared with Conner Barwin, Demeco Ryans, Brian Cushing, Von Miller, Mario Williams, Earl Mitchell, and Antonio Smith. A total defensive turnaround. We need this!
