The Rockets didn’t even have a full day to enjoy have a .500 record for the first time since New Year’s Eve, and they’ve yet to enjoy a winning record this season. They beat the Blazers in Portland during the first of back-to-back games on Tuesday night, but a poor offensive start in the second half against the Clippers on Wednesday in Los Angeles led to the106-103 loss as the Rockets drop below .500 once again.
Point guard Kyle Lowry led the Rockets in scoring with 24 points and 11 assists, while Courtney Lee came off the bench for 18 points.
Clippers guard Eric Gordon led both teams in scoring with 24 points, while two others posted double-doubles. Rookie forward Blake Griffin finished the game with 20 points and 14 rebounds. Point guard Mo Williams had 17 points and 11 assists.
