Fans did not rush the court after the Blazers beat the Lakers Wednesday night (they couldn’t have, Portland lost 106-101 in OT). Prior to the loss, to make things a bit more interesting, they ran a Captain Morgan promotion at the Rose Garden, where they “attempted to break the Guiness Book of World Record for the number of people holding the Captain Morgan pose for 2 minutes.”
No official word on if they broke the record, but if they fall 1 short. I blame Ron Artest.
You don’t think he could have taken a few minutes out of the halftime break to participate?
I’m sure, while they didn’t give rum away to everyone that participated, Artest would have been fine with the chalupa that blazers fans receive when they score 100 points. The lakers got the win, have won 2 straight and 6 of 10, so that should keep the sky from falling in LA for the time being.
